Collaboration, cooperation and optimisation of global vaccine distribution
The onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic has forever changed life as we know it.
With over 100 million positive cases worldwide and counting; the global medical, pharmaceutical and scientific communities have been engaged in an unprecedented race against time, achieving truly remarkable feats in vaccine research, development and testing to secure regulatory approvals and roll out mass immunisation programmes in record time.
However, the challenge has only just begun. The mass distribution of COVID vaccines to the global population presents what is without doubt the largest and most complex logistical operation ever to be undertaken in human history. It will require the continued cooperation, collaboration and mobilisation of manpower, assets and infrastructure networks across all industries and geographies worldwide.
The World Immunisation & Logistics Summit, hosted by the HOPE Consortium, will bring together world leaders and senior decision-makers representing key multinational NGOs, IGOs, academia and public and private sector stakeholders leading the charge in this collective human effort to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
The virtual summit will provide an open forum for dialogue around the logistical challenges of vaccine mobilisation from production to patient, with the aim of finding scalable, real-world solutions to achieve mass, equitable, worldwide distribution at this critical juncture facing the health, wellbeing and prosperity of all mankind.
