The airline company Royal Air Maroc has signed a partnership with Envirotainer to supply its customers with temperature-controlled containers for the transport of vaccines against Covid-19.
While it is aiming for CEIV Pharma certification at the beginning of 2021, the Moroccan national airline is strengthening its service offer for the air transport of pharmaceutical products in a secure cold chain.
Royal Air Maroc has signed a Global Master Lease Agreement (MLA) with Envirotainer, which now enables it to offer its customers "on-demand leasing options for temperature-controlled containers, including the Envirotainer® RAP t2 container and the Envirotainer RAP e2 container".
Salim Quouninich, Vice President Cargo at Royal Air Maroc, said in a statement: "In these difficult times, supporting the pharmaceutical community is both a duty and a responsibility.
By choosing Envirotainer as our partner for active container leasing, we are equipping our customers with all the tools they need to successfully deliver the most vital cargo, especially in the current circumstances where the fight against the pandemic is and must remain a priority for all.
Eddy Cojulun, Sales Director at Envirotainer, added: "With the ongoing pandemic and the need for all stakeholders to work together to ship not only the impending COVID-19 vaccines but also to maintain shipments of all other vital medicines, it is great to welcome Royal Air Maroc as an Envirotainer partner.
