The Head of State, Alassane Ouattara, proceeded Saturday, October 10, 2020 to the official inauguration of the Kanawolo-Ferké road.
It is a 2X1 lane road over a length of 95km linking the cities of Kanawolo and Ferke located respectively in the regions of Hambol and Tchologo.
President Alassane Ouattara took the opportunity of this inauguration to congratulate the Ministry of Equipment and Road Maintenance and the entire government for the realization of this project which ends the reconstruction of the international road Bouaké-Ferkessédougou 220km distant and crossing the cities of Katiola, Niankara, Kanawolo and Tafiré.
He also expressed his thanks to the French Development Agency (AFD) for its financial support to the tune of 60 billion CFA francs through the Debt Reduction and Development Contract (C2D).
According to the explanations of the Minister of Equipment and Road Maintenance, Amédée Koffi Kouakou, the execution period of this work, carried out by the Razel Bec/Sogea Satom consortium is 25 months. The total investment cost is CFAF 69.3 billion, of which CFAF 60 billion is financed within the framework of the C2D and CFAF 9.3 billion in sovereign loans.
