Air France KLM Martinair Cargo has announced a new member to its SAF sustainable aviation fuel program. Sinotrans Global E-commerce Logistics, based in the economic zone of Beijing airport, China, will offer a "green route" between Hangzhou and Amsterdam.

Air France KLM Martinair Cargo has announced that a new member, Sinotrans Global E-commerce Logistics, has joined its SAF sustainable aviation fuel program.

A program that "allows shippers and forwarders to power part of their flights with sustainable aviation fuel, a cleaner alternative to conventional jet fuel, reducing CO2 emissions by up to 85%," Air France KLM Martinair Cargo said in a press release.

Sinotrans Global E-commerce Logistics, which is based in the economic zone of Beijing airport, China, will offer a "green route" between Hangzhou and Amsterdam. This initiative is an extension of the company's social and environmental responsibility (SER) policy.

A protocol at the beginning of the year

Behind the scenes, this is not the first time that the two players have collaborated on a joint project. Indeed, earlier this year they signed a memorandum of understanding to promote cross-border e-commerce and Sino-Dutch and Sino-European trade cooperation.

"By combining Air France-KLM's network and Sinotrans' resources in ground operations, customs brokerage and Chinese domestic trucking services, the two companies intend to work to stabilize supply chains and actively contribute to the global economic recovery", pleads Air France KLM Martinair Cargo.
