Inaugurated today in the cargo area of Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, DHL Express France's new 32,000 m² hub is designed to absorb the growth and acceleration of parcel exchanges over the next 10 years.
It will be the fourth largest European parcel sorting platform for the express company, after Leipzig, East Midlands and Brussels.
Its construction, which started in March 2020, required 20 months of work and an investment of some €170 million, including €45 million for the state-of-the-art sorting line supplied by Vanderlande.
Its processing capacity is 38,000 pieces per hour, 15 times higher than the previous facility. The 24/7 facility is already saving DHL Express customers in the Paris region an hour in terms of deliveries and cut-off times.
