Dachser has been handling all transport across Germany for Danone since the beginning of October.
Danone has chosen Dachser to handle its logistics in Germany. "From October, Dachser will take over all Danone GmbH's transports in the country," the carrier explains in a release.
The cooperation with Dachser opens up completely new access to the German market for Danone: Danone will be able to respond more quickly and individually to the needs of its business partners.
"We chose Dachser as a strategic logistics partner because the company's range of activities and its good reputation in terms of service quality convinced us," says Milan Berger, head of the consumption department at Danone.
Water and dairy products
Dachser, a family-owned company founded in Kempten, Bavaria, in 1930, generated sales of 5.66 billion euros last year with 31,000 employees. In 2019, Dachser carried out 80.6 million transports with a total volume of 41 million tonnes.
Danone, which markets water and dairy products in Germany, has several plants in the country. The group was the first industrial company to introduce the system of labelling its products in Germany according to their sugar and fat content.
