Corsair enriches its "Pandemic Guarantee".

The airline company Corsair International has strengthened its "Pandemic Guarantee", significantly increasing the amounts of "Repatriation Assistance" cover for hotel and medical expenses related to the Covid-19.

The first in France last July to have offered free insurance dedicated to the consequences of the health crisis, the company based at Paris-Orly airport announced Monday a "significant" increase, at no extra cost, in the amounts of the "Repatriation Assistance" cover for hotel and medical expenses, proposed in partnership with Présence Assistance.

Corsair allows its customers to be covered within the framework of the various constraints linked to the Covid, in addition to the "Total Peace of Mind" offer, which allows customers to change the date or destination free of charge (a fare adjustment may nevertheless be levied if the price of the new ticket is higher than the price of the initial ticket) or to request full reimbursement of their tickets, without having to present any proof of payment.

Thanks to this offer, enhanced by the "Pandemic Guarantee", Corsair is once again improving its Cancellation and Multi-risk insurance products.

Integrated at no extra cost into existing insurance policies, the offer enables all of the company's customers to benefit from extended coverage for medical and accommodation costs in the event of an epidemic or pandemic such as the Covid-19 :

  • Hotel expenses following confinement: 100 € per day & per person, for a maximum of 15 days,
  • Medical expenses abroad: covered up to €150,000.

As a reminder, thanks to this offer, the client of the company can benefit from the reimbursement of cancellation or modification fees :

  • due to illness of the passenger or one of his family members,
  • if the country has closed its borders after registration for the trip or if it imposes restrictions after the same registration,
  • in the event of quarantine before departure or at destination, or denied boarding by the airline.

The offer includes in particular a contribution to the costs of quarantine and extension of the stay due to lack of transport and the provision of a return ticket, if the original ticket cannot be used or cannot be modified.

Another advantage, the "Pandemic Guarantee" does not impose any territorial restrictions and covers all destinations served by Corsair in France or abroad.

Gilles Ringwald, Executive Vice President, Commercial Affairs, stated in a press release: "Since the integration of the "Pandemic Guarantee" section into our insurance policies in July, we have noted a sharp increase in the subscription rate, a sign of our customers' real need for reinsurance.

This new offer is a real lever that allows us to offer even more flexibility and convenience to our clients. The improvements made to the "Pandemic Guarantee" will thus enable clients to be even better protected during their stays, at no extra cost ".

Corsair International normally operates regular flights to the Caribbean (Guadeloupe and Martinique), the Indian Ocean (Reunion Island, Mauritius), Africa (Ivory Coast) and Canada (Montreal). Its return to Mayotte is still scheduled for 11 December.
